I can't help but point out that Depression-era film are constantly referred to, these days, in articles discussing the vast disparity of wealth we are now experiencing in the United States.Holiday (1938, George Cukor, Columbia) is a terrific *class* film. We should look at clips. This article makes references, also, to It's a Wonderful Life (1946, Frank Capra, Liberty).
